This January, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger used an executive order to establish a low carbon fuel standard for transportation fuels sold in the state of California. Barack Obama’s new proposal sides with the Republican Governor. Barack's new plan would create a National Low Carbon Fuel Standard (NLCFS) based on the California proposal.
Barack Obama announced his plan as part of an energy and environment discussion at the UNH-Durham Campus.
